No Joke!

Looks like I'm not the only one who is still affected by the bleak Bowery (my first post, which started this blog...) The Film Forum is resurrecting Lionel Rogosin's gritty documentary, On The Bowery:

Rogosin concentrates on a representative cross-section of Bowery habitues: their matter-of-fact acceptance of their miserable lot in life is ten times more powerful than any Hollywoodized dramatic re-enactment.
